HOW TO PLAY:
This is a prototype for a deck-builder roguelike.
The game's goal is to lower the enemy's health (as seen at the top right corner of the screen). If your health (at the bottom left side of the screen) reaches zero, YOU LOSE!
Whenever you defeat an enemy, you get to choose a new card to add to your deck.
On the left side of the screen, you have 3 stacks of cards that consist of actions you can take. Some cards attack the enemy, while others might move cards or protect you from damage.
You can only play the frontmost card (or the top card if you're feeling freaky) of each of the 3 stacks.
To play a card, drag it to the center of the screen (AKA the play area). Every card fills the energy bar on the right side of the screen by the amount in the top left corner of the card.
Once the energy bar is filled to a certain point, the enemy will react! Sometimes, they will attack you, and other times, they will mess with your cards.
Some cards create tokens. Tokens are abilities you can play at any time during battle by dragging them to the play area (at the center of the screen). Some may require you to select or move a card after playing a token.
Shift tokens, which appear early on, allow you to move a card to the front of the stack to the card's left or right (depending on the symbol on the token).
